CLI

CLI 2017

2.5 days of intense climate action training for elected officials with leading professionals and inspirational colleagues from the BC Municipal Climate Leadership Council. CLI is designed for locally elected officials (Mayors, Councillors and Area Directors) in BC and the Yukon who are interested in learning key skills and knowledge to lead their communities on climate action.

Elected officials earn 3 credit hours toward any level of Local Government Leadership Academy (LGLA) Certification by attending the Climate Leadership Institute.

With local governments influencing over 55% of greenhouse gas emissions in BC, elected officials need the hard skills to lead their community into the green future they desire.
And the time is now…with the province’s renewed commitment to climate action and the federal government’s support through future infrastructure funding, opportunities abound for local governments. The Climate Leadership Institute offers leadership training in three core areas to help you lead the charge in your community.
